Stories are assembled and read entirely in your browser. The hero’s name, reading record and unfinished path are saved in this browser’s local storage so the page can restore them after a reload. The site does not put those values in URLs or transmit them. This site currently sets no cookies, loads no ad scripts and runs no third-party analytics. Hosting (Cloudflare Pages) produces standard server logs outside our control. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes the saved name, record and unfinished path.

The titled story pages save a separate on-device profile: a name and a pronoun (she, he or they), so a story can use your child’s own name and pronoun. It stays in the same browser storage, is never transmitted, and clearing this site’s browser storage removes it too.
